I have a Barbour. They last a lifetime if cared for and are certainly worth the money.

Buy older one, send it to Barbour to be refurbished, they do a top job! Or get a Belstaff

What about Aquascutum? They've been making rain coats and overcoats for ever. Do they do a wax jacket? :)

If you can hang on then do. Mines just the traditional green "classic" style.

quote: They do seem pretty good but i'm not convinced they're £250/300 quid good. They had naff all sales on over xmas (tried John Lewis and House of Fraiser), perhaps i should hold off until summer then. Dave - Tar, will have a gander at Musto

I saw a Musto waxed jacket, if it's anything like the rest of Mustos gear it will be excellent.

On the hunt for a traditional (no quilted bollocks) waxed jacket and i don't doubt Barbour stuff is the equivalent to Hunter wellies in that it's all 'badge'. So, does anyone know of good alternatives? :) |
