Depending on what your looking for we've been surprised to see that for many things like bottles, plates etc John Lewis are sometimes the cheapest, with free delivery to the local waitrose we often use that (and staff discount then makes it an even better winner :)

Not any more. A couple weeks ago Morrisons sold off the Kiddicare company as it was not making any money - Purchased for £70m sold for £2m a nice £68m loss!. The new company know its a sound business as a mostly online company so is closing off all the stores bar one (which I am guessing is hear the main depot)

Boots could be a good idea, gives them a bit more options of clothes, nappys, milk or even put towards a pram or cot

Mothercare is the most expensive of all of them!

We get most of our stuff from supermarkets, or primark. My sister goes to the next sales at 5 in the morning and stocks up for the year, and usually gets us a load of stuff as well.

Mamas and papas is a good shop but just fucking expensive so vouchers won't go far.

Next is a good shout for clothes as they do nice stuff that lasts or if you want toys then typical online places would be the best bet like amazon

Pretty much all baby companies are a rip off  It depends how old the baby actually is? As said above, a big box of nappies could be a better gift than clothes that the baby might never wear.

Contrary to Matt's view we find Kiddicare to be excellent value compared to Mothercare.

Mamas and Papas is nice stuff, but it's pricey for what it is,especially if you are buying clothes which they grow out of within a few weeks so will wear maybe twice.

To be honest the safest bet is Amazon or even supermarket vouchers. Our son's gran and grandad sorted us with a huge basket of consumable items, nappies, shampoo etc etc which was immensely helpful (although not having kids you might struggle to fill it with genuinely useful stuff  )

Kiddicare is a rip off imo. If the baby is 18months or less then mothercare vouchers will be perfect they go along way. 18month n above they more into toys or thing they like at that particular time in which case ask the parents

You Amazon voucher is a good one as there is always stuff on there you need

Be careful with Kiddicare as mentioned before. I'm not sure if the online/instore vouchers are interchangeable

Amazon Voucher - caters for everything, i buy our nappies from there around 50% cheaper than high street shops

mammas and pappas would be good to get, but so would Next and Mothercare.

I don't have kids and don't intend to but I use 'mamas and papas' for gifts for people who do have kids.

Kiddicare ?

What are they after? Nappies and shit, Amazon or Groupon seem to be popular for lazy cunts. I just went to the supermarkets when they had deals on
