My laptop has firewire port, and just got a firewire card in my desktop. But I think most HD support USB2 and Firewire together, best of both worlds :D

If you're going for that size drive, I'd suggest firewire over USB......borrowed a 500GB external f/w hard-drive off one of the lads in work, was great.

Will see if I can find out what brand it was, but won't be back in work til Tuesday now...

Need to be around 250GB to 300GB external, support firewire/usb2 cost around £250
