omg,
I checked my dad's sim card on my card and it has 0 contacts. And i know you can't store contacts on the memory card, so all 300 or so contacts were saved on the phone!

ok, gonna break the news.
will have to suggest taking it to a service center to get it backed up, if that could be done.

If its within 12 months old and is a legit phone nokia should repair it for you under warantty.

Failing this, you need to take it to a shop that has the capabilites to do the repair.

Going by that error im guessing you have a phone that runs on symbian, some places may be able to back up your phone numbers before doing the software update, most service software can do this.

Hope this helps.

When trying to start it, it would beep and then say:

App. closed
EtelServer

then i press ok, then this appears:

App. closed
Phone

Anyone had this happen to them?
Is hard formatting the only option?
The thing is i think my dad has stored about 300numbers on the phone!

Also, do vodaphone do high memory/capacity sim cards?

But most importantly, is there a way of backing up the phone numbers stored in the phone to the MMC or sim without the phone working?

Thanks in advance
