i stopped it on my mates pc by going into the options menu when it was signed in and then changed what it uses to sign you in | |

Windows Messenger will get opened by Outlook whether you want it to or not. You can actually remove the link to Outlook, but just deleting it works wonders.:lol: | |

This happens to me even if it is "uninstalled" because Microsoft Outlook insists on opening it. | |

You run MMC, and add the Snap-in "Group Policy", it's in there IIRC. | |

If you have Pro you can restrict it from being opened either automatically or manually but I don't think you've got the same options in Home. | |

User Accounts >> Click your username >> Change My .NET Passport >> On left click 'Manage My Network Passwords' >> Remove yours from the list | |

Control Panel, User Accounts and somewhere in there is the list of Passport accounts, delete yours. | |
