I assume you are connected to the router using RJ45 cable- ie. proper LAN setup (patch cable?)
Does you know the routers IP? I assume that is OK if you're getting the web admin panel?
Does it ping back?
You definately got IP, subnet (of 255.255.255.0 if there's just a small number of machines), gateway which is the IP of the router and DNS the same?
Also don't assume that as the router reckons is connected that the connection is actually doing anything. I've seen Telewest connections in the past whereby it'll handshake OK and reckon its online but the WAN IP is not assigned properly if at all. Something somewhere needs only assign you any old IP and the router will think its on, doesn't mean they've given your the right one.
With the Telewest stuff you have to wait until they fix the problem and cycle the power on the modem before you have the router do anything.

Yeah its an ADSL connection and i have never used any proxy settings for my ISP
I've currently got my laptop wired to the router rather then mess about with wi-fi too.
The wierd thing is...the Router says connected and i can see the address my ISP has given it....but other computers can't connect to it still

well...i've put all my ISP details into the router (username and password)
My client machine (currently connected by cable) gets a DHCP address from it. When i open IE on the client...i get nothing but "page cannot be displayed"
If i then go into the web interface of the router...the DSL status says "Connected" and i can see the IP address assigned to me by my ISP :boggle:
Dont know what to try next
