One is an easy way to con millions of dumb people out of loads of money, the other is fraud.

I've always said that there's two ways of making money from the Internet; porn and fraud.

Piece of cake to set up, upstream connection doesn't have to be huge as you would want to aggregate all the image streams under one URL anyway. Administer the memberships either from in the club or NOCHEX or Paypal or something and log IP use for the accounts to make sure no one's sharing them. Easy.

Don't even reckon the images would need to be good quality. Just a few webcams coving the rooms, doesn't need to be a full on rude show.

You could even throw in entry to the club with membership or something, cheap beer etc. Its excellent advertising.

so a) how are you gonna get around the broadband connection (if they dont have it) and b) surely they will see a constant stream of traffic over the conenction as well??? :boggle:

personally i would get it streaming in so so quality to another server that gets seen by everyone else :) That way you have more control over it etc and you can pull the plug on it ASAP etc etc etc

Lol you have put more thought into this than me, i was toying with the idea, yet i could suggest he could do it for extra revune then just pick up the feeds myself if he goes for it

lol mate :)
yea, i was just about to suggest the idea that he could start up his own site etc etc
but for starters, to make any real money out of it he would need to have a film crew with a camera shooting decent shots - otherwise it would be rather lame. And thats even more money etc etc so its very unlikey he would agree to that....although i would just drop it in to a conversation or make a joke about it, as it might get him thinking etc etc ;)
However, like you said, it does have the upside that you have direct access to the feeds ;)

Although there will alot of traffic, which is the only problem i really see. Im sure the ISP would be well happy having a constant upload of data, and it might get abit fishy. Only way around it would be to have a decent lease line, then get that to stream to a server some where else that buffers a few minutes worth and then streams that out to the WWW - it will take the load off the in house server, plus you will beable to stream to more users due to bandwidth etc etc etc

you really need to plan it mate, and put loads of safety bits in so you can cover tracks if they find out etc etc :)
but like i said, you need them to get a broadband connection going first and a reason why your software connects to it and why the constant upload of traffic......after that its plain sailing mate - well kind of

surely you would need an in-house server of some sort to stream the data to somewhere etc???

also, if they found out you would be in big BIG shit.....however, it sounds like fun :D
just make sure you have a way of removing the server equipment etc if they start getting suspicious etc etc :)
