Phone up and get a new laptop ;)
surely they would just send a new adapter if anything, seems rather optamistic they would send some one a brand new laptop just like that. even if they did, wouldnt they have an engineer check it first, if they sent out new laptops that easy every one could just phone up say they got a shock and get a new one.
You need to word it properly. As I said, I know what Dell do, not sure about other companies. I've got 3 laptops sitting here, 2 of them which may or may not have went on fire/shocked me :look: [Edited on 01-04-2009 by John]
so your telling me they dont even ask for the faulty laptop back in exchange lol sorry you may be telling the truth but i really dont believe that you can just ring up say its faulty and they will send a brand new laptop back, without first checking it for faults and/or taking it back. not to mention the problem could be soley down to a faulty mains cable and nothing at all to do with the laptop. considering how much crap i had to go through to get my laptop replaced on insruance and that was actually faulty i really dont see a company as big as dell just dishing out new laptops when someone rings up without needing to obtain proof of the fault or take the faulty laptop back.
