You get like for like when swap products or in some cases when your product is not produced any more you get same spec or high at same price as you paid, some cases you can pay little bit extra to get even better spec ( all within the 28 days).
You never get less spec then what you first had when swapping of faulty goods.
If it was just a pixel that had gone faulty you are lucky that it was swapped as the Dixons, Currys and PC World dont swap them for 'a pixel' it has to be around 6 to make it be exchanged and classed as faulty.

But if you've paid for one with a bigger HD surely you'd want your moneys worth?

cos... it was a right bastard trying to get it off them!

Went in this morning and gave them my laptop andwas told my new one was in storage, I only took them the laptop, no battery no nothing...

Some delivery guy told me he couldn't get to my house intime tonight but could meet me half way, so I drove half way and he gave me it in a blackplastic sealed bag, it was raining and I kinda trusted them.

I bought it from a shop that is owned and run by Leeds City Council, they buy from Componant solutions, it's taken ages to get thsi far... all I'm bothered about is my 20GB smaller HDD.

Think I might ring them tomorrow when I'm not at wor and get them to get my yet anotherone!

it just had a faulty pixel, took me weeks to even get them to concider swapping it, so I feel like a wanker ringing them back asking for another new one!

Phone them up and start having a go.

I presume the other lappy was faulty, in which case they have to replace it with the same spec or better. they are breaking the law if they give you a lower spec lappy.

Or just get them to pay up the difference?

Right, finally got them to swap my laptop for me today, got it home and looked at the spec printed inside the laptop on the sticker... (bearing in mind they gave me only a laptop and no box, after seeing the laptop I had no reason to doubt them)... it's not the same spec as my old one...

The one I sent back was:

80GB
Intel Pentium M 730
Draw laoding DVD-Dual

This one is:

60GB
Intel Pentium M 715
Slot loading DVD-Dual...

No, I know I'm not that p on prices but I know that it wasn't a fair swap...

Do you think I should insist they swap it again?...
