at i guess i would say its an electronic one then . Check the loom that runs to the set of pins when the dash is removed. If there is a green wire there then a rev counter dash should be a straight plug and play. I had the green wire present so it was basically a straight swap

i wanna know how to install a rev counter as well. my car is 96 p reg. i took the dash out a while ago and it doesn't seem to have any wire in there

what year is ur car. Best thing to do is take ur dash out and check.if its electronic there will be no cable there. u can normally tell by the movement of the needle. If the neddle is very smooth its electronic. i think from R reg onwards they were electronic

mines only a 1.2 8v and its a merit model and i was led to believe that there is no cable there

so wots the solution

thats what i did. took my ls dash out and the green wire was there so its a simple plug and play. If its a pre face lift model ur speedo might be cable driven. When the facelift corsa came out with the v grill they were electroic (correct me if im wrong)

The rev counter runs off a green single wire, these are sometimes installed in the lower base models without rev counter so if ya put dials in from a sport they work right away

if you install the correct set of dials were do ya connect the rev counter cable to ?
