Well i've got the chance of 2 free sets of Vauxhall locking nuts, my Dad is a driving insructor so don't want his ones, and my sister is trading in her Sxi for a BMW so i'll nick her nuts before she gives it to them

I'm not gonna have to buy a new set of nuts.

Does anyone have any reccomendations? All i ever hear about is McGaurd nuts, but these work on the same principals as my standard Vauxhall locking nuts. I'm worried now that someone is gonna nick my wheels, i'm thinking about putting 2 sets of nuts on, but i've heard this is a bad idea....... ?

Sorry about the length of the thread.

Same thing happened with mine mate, one went missing.

i reckon u just forgot to put it on at some point, rather than someone tryin ur rims and doin 1 locking wheel bolt.

Just go to vaux and get a replacement bolt. Put a bolt back in for now tho.

Matt

yup. mcgaurd and thatcham approved. Counts for summin. more expensive than the run of the mill ones but worth it considering they are protecting ur £600+ alloys.

Thing is, this type of nut can still be stolen quite easily. My dad used to have a BMW, and the locking nuts these used had a cap that was locked by an actual key, and then they were locked they just used to spin.

One smack with a hammer and they snap off.

I'd also say go for the McGuard ones.

Personally mate i'd go for McGuard just remember to carry the locking 'keys' on you in somewhere unobvious in the car
