There is no harm in trying, they will use seperate crossovers so there is a chance it may work, give it a shot

The subs only eat low frequencies, sound quality isnt an issue to the subwoofer, but your mids and highs are much more sensitive. Id say try a different amp first mate, cos if you've done everything else tidy, its the only solution!

Tis probably interference, do you get the whistling with your engine off too?

well when i switch the sub off on channels 3 + 4 i dont get as much vocal as i used to, power and rca are running down different sides of the car and earth is in a good position near my spare tyre.

The reason why you have whistling is because of interference. Are the power leads and RCA leads running down the same side of the car? Also, put the earth for your amplifier somewhere else ;)

this is the pic of my amp. the silver bits are the split leads, and the shitty wires that go to channels 1 and 2 are 4 the 6x9's

Its a problem with your setup matey. Its a hard one to judge, take a picture of all the crossover settings ect on your amp and post em up

just got myself some 6x9's and ive only just wired it up via the amp!! ive got a 4 channel amp and instead of runnin two sets of phono wires down the car i bought a split lead which turms one set of phonos into 2. but i aint gettin any vocals out of my 6x9's!! just an annoyin whistlin noise!! |
