I got nice fresh refurb'd PVD calipers, nice shiney Zinc plated. See how long they stay shiney for and then back to yellow like me olduns or gold. Hamerite is fine, they do hammer finish too if your surface isnt that smooth

i didnt but it all depends on wot kind of finish u want. the proper way would be shot blast and powder coat

the cheap way is wire brush and drop in a bucket of hammerite ;)

use humbrol, from model shop, costs £1 per tin!

i did
but some melted of me rear drums but i think that is due to either a mal adjusted bias valve or a fucked bias valve
coz caliper get hotter than drums 90% usage
so there somthing amiss with my rear brakes

so any guides or pictures or tips about doing this?

erm, most diy sotres, plus halfords etc... it comes in small tins and you dont need anywhere near a full tin. that brake caliper laquer is a rip off, i would say 99% of people use hammerite.

Adam-D

1 tin do it all
b&q
£5 small tin

Does anyone know of a quick drying brake caliper laquer - which looks v. good when its dried, as ive bought some Savage brake caliper laquer/paint and it says it takes 48 hours to dry - without the wheels on
