where do people suggest i put my ps2 then? i have no back seats and my system is all in a false floor in the back,i dunno if i should build it into the back or build it into the glovebox and cut an oblong shape the same size as the ps2 into the glovebox door so the front of the ps2 is flush with the dash,
will the ps2 go in the glovebox that way?

pic. and remember, it may say ynos, and not sony, but for £100 does this face look like it gives a fuck? :D

i got this ynos screen in my motor pretty good and i aint had any problems so far -i got myn from rtec when they was first out -they have put the price up a bit now £120-130-aint bad
i would recomend you get a decent invertor though cause the £30 ones are jankand they overheat-and are ment for portables and caravans -they plug into you fag lighter-- get a good one from a car audio shop hook it up to youre batteryand buy a switch-my invertor cost £90

kinda thought that that'd put u off, its not much at all really, i just explained everything just so u knew.

inverter - £30
ps2 and cables - u have.
aux in cable (if needed) - £15 roughly.
relay and cabling, crimp connects, fuse holder etc, £20 max.

i've seen a 7" widescreen monitor in the uk for £200, one thing with monitors is in my opinion, brand names arent any better than cheaper alternatives. i have a monitor that cost £100 and people i've met with kenwood in dash dangly doo dah monitors have been jealous of the quality!

you need....

an inverter to power the ps2, can be bought for around £30, this changes your 12v dc into 230v ac.

an input for your head unit, check if your head unit can take an auxiliary input, aux in etc, you need this to be able to play the ps2 sound through your car, check your head units manual to see if any cables needs to be purchased, usually about £15.

your ps2 scart lead minus the scart bit. you need the cable that runs from your ps2 into 3 coloured wires, red, yellow, and white.

red and white are your stereo audio, yellow is the video signal, the yellow will need to be plugged into your monitor.

ps2 power cord - obvious reasons.

a 30a car relay, a few quid from accesory shops, you need this so that your inverter switches on and off with your cars ignition, bit of a safety measure really so your ps2 isnt left on overnight and you return with a dead battery!

a fuse holder, power and earth cable - to run power to the relay and inverter. also need some cable to run the switching part of the relay and to run power to the monitor.

think thats everything, if u want a fitting and wiring guide just ask.
