why cover them with vinyl?

wont taht stop the light being produced? ie>ud get a wee glow instead of the ful beam of light?

if u want black fog lenses, then jsut tint them.

I got mine tinted a while back, reflectors dont show up but the fogs work fine. Never had any probs from poilce or anythin.

I know someone off the VxlSCC site who used a piece of Graphite Vinyl to cover them, i'll ask if they've had any problems, as i want mine to be sorta smoked looking.

You could get this stuff to stick on your lights to make them look tinted, but it was small strips of colour with small strips of see-thru between, so some of the original light (50% i guess) was still visible, but unless you were close up it looked a different colour.

Dunno if any of that helps?!

yeah they are fogs and reflectors in the same housing. so tinting them would be illegal - not that it stops everyone from doing it! lol

The clear ones that ur thinking u saw, were actually just the holes meshed.

u cant get clear ones or any diff ones infact.

only way to change the look of them is to spray them.

ohhh the rear ones. i thought you meant the front foggies lol.

i've never seen clear ones myself. most are just sprayed with a light coat of body colour or just black with loads of laquer for the shine. i'm sure someone will bring out replacement lenses soon.

sure i've seen clear ones on a few cars on here, seen tinted ones but i think that was just spray ones.

just after something a bit classier, seen as they're like red plukey spots on the arse of a black sxi!
