cams move the power band higer, say for exp on your car it starts to pull around 2.5k-4.5k, by using an uprated cam you will get more power from say 3.5k-5.5k

this seems all right, but anything below 3.5k and the car will be like a dog, basically you have to keep the engine on cam to get the best out of it

i.e. your constantly working the engine harder - this is for all gears

also £250 for a cam + kit is the avg going price from most motor sport places depending on the cam profile

the higher the cam profile the more power but it it will shorten the power band and basically make the car undriveable in normal driving conditons

whereas if you were flat out 90% of the time then a high profile cam would be perfect, i.e. racing

a cam is a cam, its gonna give you extra top end power at the sake of losing lowdown torque ie your gonna have to make the engine work harder

your looking at around 250 for a cam + kit

150 for the cam itself

so what would you be looking to pay for the cam? and what sort of increase would i be looking at? and are piper cams worth buying?

240 is not cheap for an 8v - its only one cam your buying

thats a negative, its a corsa breeze so as standard has 60BHP but hi in torque so i have been told, but it is suppose to equal out at 80BHP.
