how much you looking at for twin 40s then? for the 8v sri that is

for a 1.4 8v id stick some twin 40s on it, they are farly cheap, and also a decent cam.

luca, I'd love to get a remap for £70! Can be fitted to 8v's, but the gains arent as good.

and with the money you spent you could get a 1.6 Sport and till be quicker.

thats not a throttle body kit is an inlet manifold. TBH the kit makes the 1.2 16v more powerful then the 1.4 16v.

regal now do a kit for the 1.2 16v
not that i can see the point in it tbh

depends what kit u go for, but they only do them for the 1.4 16v, 1.6 16v and 2.0 16v

so whats the cheapest kit then? around 2k??

www.sbdev.co.uk create race-spec throttle-body engines for the X16XE and 20XE, mostly fitted to westfields.

Throttle bodies replace most of the inlet manifold and induction plenum and throttle body. Replaced with 4 throttle bodies, 1 for each cylinder, and fed from trumpets which suck the air in using a butterfly valve. They vastly increase the amount of air able to reach the engine. They are fairly expensive, and when you get over 200bhp, you have to uprate most internal parts with new pulleys pistons conrods etc etc. ITs possible to see a tad over 200bhp on the X16XE, and closer to 240 on the C20XE.
