Check the arm that the cable joins up to.

I had one split half way through and started bending round giving me a slack cable.

I adjusted it a few weeks ago so that it bites further up as you lift your foot off.

Now I keep getting a slight burning smell, i'm guessing it might be the clutch.

What exactly is the ideal adjustment for a corsa B?

The travel listed in the haynes manual doesn't seem to tie in with my measurements at all!
