i got a kenwood 4x30w headunit. would that be enough to run the components or would they need to be powered by the amp along with the 6x9s ?

Well the basic rule for powering speakers from an amp is to match the power of the speakers with the amp, or to exceed that power and then turn the gain down on the amp.

Hace a look around. What head unit have you got?? If you have a decent head unit with good output you could easily run your 6x9s and components off of it, if you must I would say power the 6x9s with an amp and leave the components on the head unit because the 6x9's need more power.

Then spend what you have left on a good sub/amp/box setup.

And you wont want to be blowing £600 on an amp, for £600 you could get a good amp that you need for the above, and then a sub and amp on top.
