yeah tomas i think thats what it could be, i slackened them off half a turn, rocked the car, and the noise was much worse, so i think thats wot it is.

there not stripped, but the centre does look a bit worn

Will the be expensive from vaux?

It will be the bolts holding the damper to the trailing arm. They are a cunt for the treads stripping. If they are not tight the bush moves around and causes the noise. If they are stripped like what happeded to mine you can drill out the tread and use a longer bolt with a new nut on the back of the old stripped nut.

i had a rattling sound on me front shocks but i tightined them thats gone now, but there is a small bracket rite under the back axle thats wat making the banging noise i had the same problem :D

well the dust cover for the shocks has an integrated bumpstop. it sits on the piston rod, and if the shock is compressed enough its sandwiched between the top of the chamber, and a washer that the top rubber bush sits on

have u put bumpstops, even standard ones on the rear shocks?

it only make the noise when the cars moving, especially on bumpy/rough road

i thought it was that too, but ive made shure its not touching (and cant touch when u shake the backbox about)

after i replaced the centre section the hanger on the bb4 was touching the metal lip near the bumper, but i adusted it and thats fine now.

Mate i have had the same thing as u way back when i had me 17s fitted and Apex 40mm kit way back!!! I got it no more due to me and my dad checking the whole car out for it, it was really bad going up the road banging, well i tell u what it is mate its nuthing to do with the exhaust its a bracket right underneath ya back axle bar so wen u driving it keeps on hiting it and thats wat makes the sound if u get under the car u will see it just get sum 1 to push the car down and let it go up u will see the bracket when i found mine it was badly hit and worn so all u got to do is bend the bracket back and job dun no more sound :D try it mate and let me know how u got on :P

I lowered my corsa 40mm on fk suspension, this was about 3 months ago.
Im getting a knocking sound from the back of the car, and i cant find what it is. Its gradually got worse (cant really remember when it started, so it might be nothing to do with the suspension)

Ive had the rear seats, seatbelts, doorcards, boot plastics, hudralic boot lifters, parcell shelf, rear clusters, spare wheel and tools, etc all off/out, and it doesnt seem to be them.

it could be either the shocks/suspension bushes, the bolt that holds the shock to the trailing arm (it looks slightly worn, but it shouldnt make much
difference)

or the exhaust, but that all seems fine, not hitting anywhere at all (its std system with peco bb4 back box, could the sound be the baffles?? As iv heard peco r bad for this)

I really dont know, its totally doing my head in!!
Makes me wanna sell the car. please please help:(:(:(
