anywhere with an understandable wiring diagram for the slpit charge system? Im hopefully ordering the yellow top in 2 weeks and the split charge wiring kit, plus 1m of 2awg cable (1/2 m for each of the power and ground to run the amp). Is this all i need?!

You will need a split charge relay and an upgraded earth strap.

You connect a cable to the postitive of the battery (4AWG minimum) and run it through to the second battery in the boot to the positive terminal. All you need to do in the engine bay is cut the wire and put the split charge relay in there, and make sure the cable is fused before the relay.

fucking hell, thats a big wad for a battery!

so to charge it do you attach the second battery in the boot straight to the alternator or can you go from the same wire coming out to the original car battery?

they are normally put in the boot with the install. It is charged in the same way as the other battery, but the ams connect to the higher power one in the boot. The type of battery depends on the power of your stereo - decent ones go from £150 ish upto something like the stinger SP50 at over £900.
