look at RMS, get the amp so that it puts out the same as the speakers or slightly over the speakers rating.

So for 50w RMS Components an amp of 50 - 75W RMS wud be good.

drop the 6x9's

get a decent set of component speakers up front.
(Infinity are the usual, focal are really decent) spend about 100-200 on those.
I have Infinity 655cs (90watts rms)

Spend about 200-300 on a 4ch amp.
I have a 4ch Pheonix Gold amp, (4x 70watts rms)

Then spend about 100-200 on a subwoofer inc a box.

I still have yet to get this.

Spend about 30£ on wiring..

I'm wanting some decent i.c.e. in my car. What kind of setup should i go 4 and how much should i be willing to pay for a 1/2 decent setup?
I'm looking for a sub, 6x9's and a couple of amps. maybe 800w sub, 300w 6x9's. that sound ok? Is kenwood a good make to go for? Or different makes for different components?
Sorry, i'm an amature when it comes 2 i.c.e.
Any comments appreciated, cheers
