motorworld said they can only order the cable by the reel, but halfords said they can order a reel in and let me have 1m of it!

so u reckon the smaller cable with 60amp fuse etc to charge the yellow top in the boot will be good, then run the 2awg with 200amp fuse from that to the amp? I get paid in 2 weeks and wanna order it all then cos my stuff has been sent now and time is running out! lol

the shorter the length of cable between battery and amp, the better.

i popped into motor world today before work cos the shop is opposite. They have a split charge wiring kit for £35 which includes the power cable, 60amp fuse, and a relay. I was thinking i could get this to charge the battery in the boot, then just run the 2awg cable from that battery to the amp and from amp to ground. (fused again obviously). Would this be suitable? Cos the 2awg cable is pretty expensive and if i dont need to run it from the bonnet to boot then i may as well not!

yup, like that one! i have a kicker one laying around here somewhere, but its gonna get used in the new system so you cant have it.

Found the part number today(i actually remembered to look!!) but didnt write it down. Autoleads part number was, i think, G9-48.

it was sent from the company to my friend in america as they dont ship to the UK, and he has sent it to me declared as a gift, so its a lot less likely. But still, yeah, im not 100% sure about the laws, so im keeping some £ spare just in case the worst happens

write on the box:

'Happy Birthday little Timmy!'

Usually works. Worked in hong kong :D could imagine their sorting office.

'Poor Timmeh is waiting! Yah this shall go quick'

Straight through customs :D

corb

Does anyone know what size power inputs the audiobahn A2300HCX would have? I need to buy the power cables for it and get them fitted soon as its on the way. 2400w RMS if thats any help, im thinking 2 awg, but i need to be sure. Or if i get 2 and its, say, 4, can i just put a different connector on the end? Cheers, Matt
