you wont need to resolder anything just get an autoleads adapter for a pioneer head unit and it'll plug straight in

altho....do you have rear speakers in at the moment??

Here's what im planning on buying:
Pioneer Headunit (PIO-DEHP77MP)
JBL GTO6526e (GTO6526e) (165mm coaxial)
GTO936e (6*9's)

Will i need to buy an iso connecter and re-solder the wires to use the new headunit?? If so where can i find which wires are for what speakers and where the go on the iso? Thanks very much for all the advice!

wont hear a difference with decent cavle to be honest, plus its not that easy to rewire the whole car. Just tap into the existing wires. Id recomend getting some JBL front components as well, got them in mine - top quality for the money.

Do you have any recomendations for the front speakers? Oh and will i hear any benefit to sound quality if i use decent cable from my headunit to my 6*9's / and speakers i put in the doors?? Thanks again!

For a first set up go for JBL 6x9's (nice price to quality ratio) and do as Austin says for the head unit.

Make sure your next investment are some front components, you'll be amazed at the difference a quality set can make

If u get audiobahn 6x9's u WILL need an amp!
My mate has these on an alpine MP3 headunit 60wx4 and it has nothing like enough power to drive these properly. Needs more like 100w RMS x 2...

Just basically buy a headunit that has a high power output and auxillary in. Preferably pioneer or alpine.

As far as 6x9's go get audiobahn or infinity.

Hey peops,

I am a complete novice to ice, and i would appreciate it if somebody could recommend what i need to buy! I have a Creative Labs 6GB mp3 player that holds all of my music, at the moment i play my music through a tape adaptor through the standard radio (I know, its bad!). I want to buy a new headunit that i can directly wire my mp3 player into, and some 6*9's for the back, (will i need an amp?? If so how do i wire it??)! Could somebody please reccommend some kit, i have about £300!

Many thanks in advance

Mike
