I don't think he's tested it, he's just taking the word of the seller i think. I'm just trying to see whether its the clock itsself, or something else, cos if its the clock i can replace it for him

never fitted white dials to a corsa so i was speculating.

Wrong size tyres wouldn't show a 10 MPH difference. Has your mate actually compared the speedo alongside another car, or is he just taking the sellers word that its out?
I had doubts about the accuracy of my digital speedo, in a moment of madness I drove through a speed camera at 38, the resulting NIP said 38 too. Was an expensive way to test it though :o

The car is standard, it might have the wrong size tyres on the steelies, but i doubt it.

Il'l have a word wit my mate down at Kwik Fit

if its innacurate it will be recallerbrating (spellin :boggle: )

id say try a MOT centre or sumic

craig.... i doubt its the needle, coz wen changing to "lockwood" dials you dont take out the rev or speedo needles, just the water temp and fuel ones! :P

if this is the case its because either he has the wrong size tyres on his alloys or he has white dials and not put the needles on properly.

HELP

My mate who's just got a P Reg corsa has been told by the person who he bought it off that the speedo is reading roughly 10Mph less when he's travelling at around 30 - 40Mph.

How can he get this sorted? Is it a case of a new speedo? or is the sensor in the gearbox at fault?

Cheers
