Well if the fan aint working then its gonna overheat

I had fucking water in my fucking engine, it ran out when the engine overheated, hence the steam coming from under the bonnet...

And, no i didn't hear the fan kick in, because i believe it to be broken.

I had to fill the water up becuase it had all evaporated... So i filled it, drove another 5 mins in the traiffc, same thing happened, so pulled over to let it cool down a bit

No the problem is that u had no fuckin water in ur engine, hense it went red hot as it had nothing to cool it down

did u not hear ur fan kick in? it wouldent of made any difference anyway as u had no water

ull know if ur head gasket is gone, it will blow out white smoke like a trooper

Can't hear much from the engine ticking :p

Cylinder head gasket maybe.

Or a split or unconnected hose in the coolant system.

Could you hear the fan turning?

Was stuck in a traffic jam today, watching the temp gauge go up, n up, n up, then smoke coming from the under the bonnet, so pulled onto hard shoulder, had to fill up the water tank, and sit around letting it cool off..

This happen to anyone else ? Or is it cause the Fan is screwed ?
