Yes it is a Corsa B. Think you can take the old head unit out with a few nails like i did or u can buy a set of prongs that go into the little holes at the side of it. its should then pop out.
As for the adaptor, i think you will need one unless you plan on cutting the wires and reconnecting them the correct way, imo it aint worth it as the adaptors are only £10 anyway

Hey peops,
i have just bought a 1996 corsa vegas 1.2, first of all i would appreciate if someone could confirm that it is a corsa b?? Also, i am wanting to install a new headunit, probably a Sony M630. What i need to know is this:

1) how do i gat the old radio out, can i buy standard tools from halfords to remove the standard headunit?
2) will the sony unit connect to existing wiring, or do i need some sort of adaptor!
