there is no plastic m8, the plastic just covers the metal, u need to if anything trim the metal lip away
and i would NOT use a jigsaw as not very good for this job, would look all shite and bent, no matter how good u are
buy a angle grinder m8ty :thumbs:

can i use a jig saw with a metal cutting bit on it to cut the plastic and maybe the metal as well?

not really no, u can shave the lip off, (if i remeber been along time since i look at standard wings)

jack it up get a angle grinder and chop away

they are et45 17inch with 204/40 rubbers. when i get someone to sit in the drivers seat the wheel touches the actual arch. im alright with cutting these back a bit but i wanted to know if there was any metal i had too cut back underneath?

grind the plastic bolts away a bit, if thats not enough try grinding the whole bolt away and bond the arches back on with tiger seal, ive also had to take some of the actuall plastic arch off too, mine are 17's et45 lowerd bout 50mm at the back, only catches with full car now.

look at the offset of the wheels.....
remove the screw from the rear plastics, and sticker-flex the plastics on OR shave the bolts right down
