Hapens to me too..

Asked my local mechanic - said it is a bad earth somewhere to do with the interior light. Because mine isn't hugely noticeable, he said it wasn't worth spending the money to get it sorted.

At least he didn't con me into having it done.

basically what the cap does is stores up energy and discharges when it is needed due to increased strain on the circuit. in your case when the bass hits in.

problem with using caps is they only discharges for a very short amount of time (less than a second) and most bass lines last longer than this so you don't really gain much from using one.

cap are a was of time/money/space first think to do is upgrade the big 3 (TB3) if you still get dimming after that look at getting another battery or a second battry with a split charge relay

When i've got my bass up high and my headlights on i notice that the headlights and everything else that is illuminated (e.g. dials, interior light) dims with the bass. So when i hit a wicked bit of bassline all my lights dim slightly.

Is this normal? And is there a way of preventing it?
