less friction? the pistons crowns dont touch anything! and if they do you'll sure as hell know about it!

You mean the piston crowns? IE top of pistons.

Why would you want to do that?

if you mean cleaning the head (decoking) then it might help depending on how dirty they are! Not worth taking it off especially for.
