i have a feeling the remote wire from the HU to the AMP has come loose.

u checked all fuses on the amplifier itself and have u checked the fuse on the power cable in the engine bay?

Also, make sure the remote lead hasnt come loose from the headunits harness, and also check your ground hasnt come loose.

if you say there isnt power going to amp (put a voltmeter on the powerline and ground, at the amp end, and see if there is anything) then make sure there is power at the front of the powerline (obviously there will be if you car starts fine, but its still is worth checking). Check the fuses on the amp as well as inline fuses on the powerline (if there are any). I would also get out that voltmeter of yours and test out the powerline cable (attach a length of cable to one of the probes on the VM and BUZZ out the powerline)...make sure you also do this with the ground cable, just incase :).
If youve done all of the above, then im baffled :boggle: since the power/ground cables are fine, fuses are fine and theres power at the battery end (make sure its screwed properly into the + terminal). You dont have it connected to your ignition by any chance? maybe dodgy ignition switch if so.

Have fun though lol

but everything else works?
thats strange....replace all fuses...even if they look ok, my alpine hu went a bit dodgy the other day but sorted its self out once i replaced the fuse.
