do as he says, get some very more powerful speakers to hear the music properly, in the way of 100 watt rms (atleast) comps up front and a 2x100 watt amp to power them...yeah!

Check out the prices for some of their stuff. Im a JL Audio boy, love the stuff ;)

So i will almost always say to get them. Very very good quality but they are a tad expensive.

Oh also, get rid of your 6x9's you really dont need them. Trust me on this.

If i were you i would go for a setup like this:

5.25" Components in front doors
Amp to run them properly (over power stuff not underpower ;) )
two 12" subs (for your style of music)
Monoblock amp to run these.
Loads of Dynamat and your done :D

Hope anything i said helps ya.

Steve

right so bin the 6x9's, and get an amp that does 85rms to power the front spekaers, and then get a monoblok amp to do two 12" subs, any idea about what wattage to get the subs??

my ideal situation would be i can turn it to 15-20 on the headunit and its proper loud, but can still go to 25-30. without sounding like crap.

also would i need to conect it to the battry. the amps i mean.

Trust me with the amount of bass you'll be having you will almost certainly be needing a boot full of dynamat extreme.

does the dynamat make that much difference? And would it be worth lining my boot with it if i am getting an install?

installs can cost about £1500 ish for custom ones, and that doesnt include the components. (someone correct me if im wrong!) I just spent £780 on ICE from www.thezeb.com in america, but they dont ship to the UK, i had to get a mate to post stuff to me. The money went on 2 1000wRMS subs and a 2400wRMS amp, and that is cheaper than UK prices. As i said, if you dont want to wait, get a decent sub now and then get a powerful but cheap amp, then sell that on ebay or something when you upgrade. Have you looked on any ICE sites for rough prices/reviews?

langey

so whats a decent sub and amp for the time being, and how much would i be looking at saving up to get a loud and decent install in the boot??

drunkenfool

i would wait till you can get something you really want instead of getting something in the mean time and then regretting it. Even if you decide to sell it next month, you never get any where near what you paid for it, so id just wait. Otherwise, get a decent sub and an SPLx amp or something, then replace that as soon as you have the £!

no 300is the max i have at the end of sept, then another 300 at the end of the next month and so on.

Richie

So 300 is the max ur willing to pay? Your not gonna get anything boom boom for less than about £500 i reckon.

hi everyone, this is my 1st post,

i have a corsa, with alpine headunit CDM-9807RB 4x60watt, audiobahn door speakers ABF25T (85rms), and a a set of jbl gto936e 6x9's in the backshelf.

and i mainly play dance music, wigan pier tunes, that sort of stuff. and i want it to blow me away my system. what do i need?? and i dont want to pay stupid prices for things.

anyone any ideas of a set up that will make my ears bleed?? i need to know exactly what to get right down to the smallest details.

i've also heard that if i have to many amps and stuff, that my alternator wont be able to cope with powering the battry and it will knaker it out.

i am totally clueless.
