i think that, the ecotec valve only works when engine is cold. | |

i would check airfilter, sparks, and the cat. and possibly change sparks and filter,depending what it is.theyre not that pricey, exept the cat. | |

Actually if you reduce the air to the engine then you'll get less CO2, but possibly more unburnt hydrocarbons. | |

Erm CO2 is a product of combustion... i imagine the only way to reduce it is to reduce the amount of fuel and air entering the engine. | |
