I think it might be a different model as the advert says it is only 4 x 40w and you have put 4 x 50w. Or it might just be a miss print.

Its ok i suppose. Still like the Alpine bit i think that is growing on me. WOuld this be good at running a full system?

The internal amp doesnt matter as i will be amping everything cept i might just have asome rear speakers for rear fill on it but they will be on low if i do.

Out of the two which one would be the best as i would like to be able to do alot of the setting up on the head unit if possible.

If you want to host the image for me ill scan the advert in as he left his mag at my house.

Hey All

I am just starting to do my ice install. I was looking at the Alpine CDA9812RB head unit. Then i was going to Alpine all the way through my system. But a mate showed me the Clarion DXZ-818RMP head unit. I know Alpine is better than the Clarion but i was just wondering what everyone thought about this head unit as i could get it now and.

The advert my mate showed me it was £499 but now its dropped to £179.99. So i was thinking it is either an end of line unit or that it hasnt been selling very well.

If anyone can reccommend any other head units i would appreciate it but i could really use the mp3 playing feature and i dont really want a changer.

Cheers Danny
