all xe engines (eg x14xe x16xe x12xe) are all designed to run on 98 octane fuel but will run fine on 95n ron fuel the engine management system just retatds the timing

yep, on my gsi it made a difference, wen i first used it i didnt seem no diff so i went bak to jus normal shell unleaded n then 2-3 tanks later i noticed that the engine wasnt as smooth or rev friendly as when i used optimax.

on small engines it may give a very slight improvement in response or something, but yea its the big engines like my mums boyfriends sierra cossie that benefit from it most. A lot of people say you cant run a cossie on anything but optimax

In theory in should increase performance, but not on a small engine like yours. It will run smoother after a couple of tanks though. The increased octane rating of Optimax would see a healthy preformance increase on large engines.

it doesnt make fuck all difference to performance but the engine runs smoother.

does this really make a difference in performance, and clean out ur engine, or is it just the same as any old petrol.

cheers
