yes simply Leds! it is pretty easy from what cobra is telling me! the LEDS of the heater panel are a bit tricky and switches! the rest simply plug and play and it is not difficult to get the dash apart!

simply with leds??
is it easy to take apart?and difficult to put back together...?

Cheers for that. I'm undecided on them. I expected white with pink centre to look better. Did they look any better "in the flesh" than in the pics?

You can have it almost any colour/combination of colour you want, even pulsing between red blue and green. Simply change the original bulbs for leds.;)

maybe ive missed something, but how on f*ck did you get the multi display thing numbers green?

cool as f*ck!!!

did you change the whole unit?

Have you removed the heater front panel before? There are two different types of switching units behind it, one is very good for mounting multi leds.
This one has 8 blue and 2 red fitted in it..

The ultra violet gives off a pale purple, almost white light, it makes white objects glow in the dark like your shirt in a nightclub etc.

oh thanks for all your help by the way!

something else the U.V's would make everything violet right even though the effect of a normal UV is blue when reflected on a white surface right?

true i was thinking about that but i am in love with blue hehe
:)
thats why i was thinking blue dash and all that.and red switches maybe, but i don't want it to be like the golf either. the problem is one but now!
the heater panel! i don't know how to do all the leds on a chip and all that stuff! so basically i am back to square one! hehe the switches are the hardest true, but they will not be seen too much if they remain with there original colour.

but if i don't manage to change the heater panel i don't know if it would be worth changing anything! so can you explain how it might be possible to solve the panel problem.

By the blue for sure! now i c about the green! hehe

I think green looks better than red personally.

How about green dials and mfd, can get some nice 12k leds in green;) Maybe red in the window switches? Its all down to your own personal taste really.

The needles aren't actually lit by the backlight, you could try a luminous paint on them. Or maybe ultra violet in the dials, that would make the needle really glow.

well the purple is nice but not my style and mixing the colours, i tried that i didn't like it to much to be honest. i like sticking with one general colour and the rest secondry colour to stand out a bit. Thanks for your opinion.

Do you think green matchs so because some ppl didn't like the idea they though red would be better. but i figured green because of the headunit!

Is it possible to make the needles light up green or red?

How about blue and green..

Personally, I think pink looks very good, it illuminates a purple colour and makes a change from blue..

thanks for your help cobra!

Guys i need your opinions now!

what do you think...

Blue lit dials, mfd and center panel
Green lit switches (electric windows and head lights)
Blue neons in footweels
all to match my headunit

still got to decide on the ash tray under the headunit ... blue or green?

Thanks guys! awaiting your opinions ;)
PS. If you have any other colours in mind please let me know!

Hi ppl, can anyone tell me from where i can buy blue ultra bright LEDS from London? And do they sell them ready to fit in the Dash (in other words i wouldn't need to solder or anything myself).

I Live in Malta and i cannot find any here and apart from that no one is ready to help when it comes to soldering! One last thing, I want to change the colour of the nobes and buttons also, including electric windows buttons. I would imagine they would have to be soldered in this case, right?

Thanks for your help!

PS i am specifing london as some friends are going to be there in a weeks time, i thought they might get them for me if there is a place in the center!
