In a naturally aspirated engine generally 10w40 is the best stuff. I live in Texas so I use 15w50, since the ideal oil weight is determined by ambient air temp.

Before anyone starts, I did a search and it aint helped me... :D

What kind of problems can you get from using the wrong oil?

What would be the best oil for a 1.4 sport coz mine sounds crap when it gets hot....pretty sure it has got some s**t oil that is either too thin or too thick as I have only just bought the car.....

It is a P reg 1997 Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.4 16Valve - What do you guys use? Cheers
