Yeah sounds like a power problem. Your battery ok aint it? Just also check to see that your fuses aint bending as this can cause poor conductivity ive found. Other than that im stumped, you sound like you tried all possibilities...

maybe there is a problem when the channels are bridged.

check the connections inside the box and and the sub itself, may have fallen off rp sumin.

have you tried running the amp without the 6x9s, and the sub running off 2ch bridged? could be a power problem...

matt :)

But this is an urgent post, and experience has shown that the "ice and electerics" section doesnt get viewed as much, thus doesnt get help as quick, thus not helping me.

okay?

Alrite,

i've currently got a pioneer 305C 12" sub, runnin off a Rockford 300x 4ch amp. Now, when i first installed it etc it ran perfect, dropped low, sounded nice, even on low gain.

But now however, its very different. I've not altered the set up in any way, or changed anything, but the sub is now alot quiter and crappy sounding. Erm its hard to describe, but kind of more 'muted', and not as nice a sound!? (Its runnin off the low pass filter setting). I mean i've gotta turn the gain up to max just to get a bit of bass, but even that sounds crap.

I no for a fact that its not the Sub, because i've tried running it off my brother's Dragster AMP, and it runs perfect on there, well loud, even on low volume!! (thats in the same box etc. i was usin in my car)

The Rockford amp is 4ch, and the 2 channels that are runnin my 6*9's sound perfect (set on 'high pass filter'). Running as good as the day i installed the whole lot.

So, wot i thought it mite b, is the other 2 channels on the amp have broke (is this even possbile i ask??). So, I tested this by swappin the Sub for the 6*9s channels, and the Sub still sounds shit, and the 6*9s perfect.

its really odd.....i mean i cant work it out at all, becuase this set up is perfectly matched, and up until 3/4 days ago used to sound the bollox. Now it just sounds bollox. Very imbarrasing as all i got comin thru my speakers is treble.

Any one got any ideas or clues as to why this mite b happening???? Anything i shud check etc??

cheers in advance!

Matt
