What was the new oil that you put in?

I thought 5w40 was too thin for an average engine.

isn't 10w40 more what you want?

some oils are pants and you can really hear the tappets, the best oil and im sure 90% of people will agree is vauxhall 5w40 or 10w40.

migweb users swear by this, i used magantec in mine once, big mistake, sounded rough as.

unlikely that thin oil would cause a problem at high revs, it would be at idle when oil pressure is low.

If its only happened since the new oil it could be that your new oil is too thin.
