check CAT mine used to do that then just binned the CAT

its proberly just the internal baffles of one of the silencing cans. My kwik-fit (I know :P) has broken twice now it was random as well because the broken parts must have been getting logded stuck at some points

my bros one vibrates against something when you turn left, failed to source the problem, had the turbo and manifold off today as that was loose, but it hasnt solved it yet.

check your heat-shield on your cat, it could be that this has become loose over time

its a 1.2 vegas, used 2 think it was something in the standard BB but had a sebring 1 fitted & it still sorta rattles

What engines in your car? my '99 sport does this altho its more of a rasp than a rattle (im not even gonna go into the rattles) it only happens at a certain rev range,and is doin my tits in :mad:
its defo an exhaust prob, manifold i think
ive had mine up on a ramp and all i could see moving/vibrationg was the bottom engine mount squirming when you hit the power.

is that the center section?

You need to get it up on a ramp and tap it until you have issolated the noise. Possible that one of the centre silencers has failed.

nah, not that noticeable but when ya know its there it bugs ya!
its like a vibratin noise.
& b4 any1 pipes up, its not the exhaust clamp, its something internal.

no certain point when it rattles, just random.

When does it rattle? If it rattles when coming off the throttle, it is probably your catalytic converter has broken up. The rattling inside is the ceramic innards all gone to shot. Expensive. Alternatively, get a de-cat pipe and up middle finger to MOT man/woman.

its not the back box cos i had this rattle when the standard 1 was on.
any1 else had this noise at all?
