The horn is located behind the front grille on all Bs. The horn up near the master cylinder is for the factory alarm.

what the hell, why have i got two horns then, the one behind the front bumper works from the steering wheel whats the other for, its not my siren for my alarm cos my alarm is clifford and the siren is bolted to the battery tray!!!!!

Yes it is behind the front bumper on mine between the bumper and the rad on the right hand side

I was gonna ask this question, i was wondering where the horn was, i got one where you just said and i am sure i seen exactly the same some where else think maybe behind the front bumper

Disconnect your horn!
Its by the brake cylinder.
Then either just connect it for MOT's or wire another switched 12V supply to it.

My power steering makes wierd noises on full lock aswell.

Yeah i got an air bag, the only reason i didnt think it was my horn was because my horn is shagged and sounds real gay, the noise from turning the wheel was a little different, but still could be, havnt a clue how to fix it, the problem only occurs now and again at full lock so i dunno might just live with it

hey, im so relieved that it not jus me m8, ok looks like its the Gsi so far that hav this problem, does urs hav airbag?? but how the hell can fix it????

and im sure its the horn mate, i thought it was the steering wheel too, but i doubt it!!

thank got its not only me then this happens on my GSI too, i didnt think it was the horn i thought it was the power steering squeeling

nah its not got a air bag, ive checked the two wires and their fine dont seem to touch anything!

Probably the wire in the steering wheel is catching.

hey guys please let me know if any of you guys had this problem!!!???

when ever im at a standstill in my Gsi and put the car in full lock e.g for a 3 point turn the fcuckin horn "sounds slightly but noticably" as i turn the steering wheel its not as loud as it can go but more of a quick burst!! its well annoying coz people near by or other drivers think im horning at them, n makes me look stupid!!

please help me guys :wave:
