I had apex shocks and -40mm chassis dynaminc springs. These made the car look good being low and made it handle marginly better alongside the fat tyres, however when i swapped the wheels back to the standards for a trade in at the garage it was bleedin cr@p. I had to get out and check the tyres wernt flat. :boggle:

Seriously,, im not trying to sell you my wheels now, im not arsed if you want them or not, but wheels and tyres are the way to go. Not only do they radicaly transform the handling but they make the corsa less of a fag's car with girly 14" rims. Well worth the extra money

Great sales technique :o :P

£200 Apex...etc suspension + poly bushes will be ur best bet, then go for bigger wheels.

The very first thing you want are 16" rims with 45 profile tyres. This will undoubtedly give you far more road holding and handeling than any suspention mod and thats a fact. 165/65/14 rims are fcuking awful, first thing that happends into a bend is the tyres fold under, weather your suspention is sweet or not. In fact I can set you up nicely with a set of 16" mille miglia spiders in great condition with yokohama A539's all round with loadsa tread, for a mear £400. ono. :!

factory setup corsa B and handling are ... incompatible!

OK, out of the following mods, which will give me the biggest bang for the
buck at improving the handling?

1. eibach prokit springs with original shocks
2. poly bushes
3. front strut brace

Or will it not make a lot of difference unless I go the whole hog and spend a
grand or so, eg springs, new shocks, polys throughout, new tyres, bigger wheels,
etc?
