its a fuel relay, i had this problem on my when i had my gsi engine,it used to like buzz for a few seconds after i had switched engine off. i just got a new one and it sorted the problem:thumbs:

there are 2 relays behind the kick panel on x14 x16xe's.

I had this, ended up to be my interior light switch...

One screw removed it and i cleaned the dirt off it and cleaned up the connection and it never buzz'ed again :) job done

some relays on the left, other relays are in with the fuse box.

Like Adam said, on the passenger side its just a hell of a lot of wires where the two major looms join in a big white plug.

all the internal electrics connectors to join it ti the underbonnet loom

may be the heater fan or something - nothing mechanical behind the kick panel though, ECU and central locking control unit drivers side. loom on the other side.

I know behind the cover just to the right of the pedals is the ECU box. Whats the plastic casings on the other side behind the cover though?

Ever so often when I switch of my engine I get a like short whining noise (something electrical). This comes from that area so just wondering what it may be?
