hang on, my Haynes manual also says the clutch should sit slightly higher than the brake...

yes the MOT man is wrong!

also the clutch cable is only pulling a lever on the gearbox, so make sure the lever o the gearbox, and also the pivot on the pedal box are well greases

also gambit, do you know what causes the clutch pedal feel rough when you push it down?

mines been doing this for a while...

When i had my MOT the bloke said it's supposed to sit slightly higher, is he wrong then?

no they are meant to sit level

the clucth pedal is also supposed to sit higher than the brake pedal.

you just take the tension out of the cable and tightn or loosen the nut on the end :wave:

yea he just adjusted the clutch / pedal cable, literally takes a few seconds.

theres no harm in adjusting the cable.

A friend of mine said that my clutch pedal sits to high..so he put his hand in the engine bay and did something and now the pedal is much shorter than before.Don't know what he did but it looked pretty simple.Question is,no harm done right?sorry for being ignorant.:look:
