stick a set of standard rims on and see how it feels... poping noises when cold from the exhaust may be down to the cat, egr, or second air system but shouldnt really affect power unless the eml light is on...

can relate with u a lot there
i ad a corsa c as a courtesty car before i got my corsa b 1.6 sport (w reg)
i also thought there was little difference between the acceleration of the two. i av 17's as well with wrong offset which doesnt help - ideally would prefer 15's or 16's cos does make a difference.
any ive since put a k&n induction kit and peco power master exhaust (cat back) and it has made a lot of difference. sport cams and boost valve next i think.

The wheels will mute the acceleration somewhat but it shouldn't be out-accelerated by a 1.2!

17's slow it down a fair but, 15s are best for acceleration.

but saying that it should still be fairly quick.

hey,

Got a Corsa B 1.6 Sport and was wondering if anyone else out there has one? Need to compare. Mines a 1999 V reg model, completely standard apart from 17" alloys

I've always been told that these things 'should' pin you to your seats when accelerating hard:boggle: Is this true, coz if so, I'm still waiting

Its also begining to 'pop' when the automatic choke comes on, but its perfectly fine when it comes off. Ive had it bak and forwards to the garage where i bought it from a few months bak...to be honest, i dont think its ever been right since ive bought it:(

Anyway, i really think that its down on power big style, i reckon my Corsa C 1.2 can out accelerate it at the min. So then Corsa B 1.6 sport owners, let me know your thoughts on the matter. any sugestions as to what to do with it are welcome.

cheers peeps :)
