Thanks Joff.

Standard Pipercross filters have a flat cap end to them.

The Vector cone is an inverted spun alloy cone fixed in the end of the filter - the theory being that as air enters the filter, it is directed into the inlet pipework, rather than send it swirling around in the filter for a bit.
That's the theory anyway - it looks cooler tho ;)

viper kits are sealer from the hot engine an are forced induction jobbies i believe, also look better IMO

fcuk knows, sounds good though, could it be that it forces more air in or something????

Can you explain what you mean by vector induction please?

It's simple:

BFO cone is 200 by 230mm

Most K&N equivilants are half the size

twice the size, twice the noise!

Also the BFO cone is a vector induction which is better than a lot of k&ns

What is the big deal with the viper kits anyway?

Biggest advantage with the BFO is its size.

It has a greaer surface area so therefore less restriction... but it also is longer than the K&N and so possitions over the wheel arch where lies a nice denser colder air supply from the frong of the wheel arch.

When coupled with a couple of air feeds you will have the same setup as me, and i like it :)

Is it really any louder than a K&N? Cheers
