This happend to me, the problem is there is a tiny wire insulated from the rest running down the middle of the cable, and carnt be connected easily. I got told to replace the whole ariel cable

yeah, can be fixed easilly, just a case of reconecting the wires.
But it will be time consuming as u have to tale the plastic pannel off the inside of the roof (near the tailgate hinges) and drop the roof lining down a bit.

fitted a smaller ariel on me car the other year, went to put a smaller ariel on the other day, but i could'nt get it off. ( kept spinning ) finally got it of put the new one on and i cant get a signal :( think i've snapped the wires while i was spinning the ariel. can this be fix easy? how do i get to the ariel wires?
