Yeah its the standard colour mate, but had a respray last month, so it looks really good. You can't tell how good it is from the pics, when the suns out you get a pearly effect.

Go for Aurora Purple, standard Vauxhall colour, looks great when the suns on it.

The pics don't do it justice.

only reason i was gonna keep it black was to keep the costs down, they wouldnt have to spray inside doors and engine bay etc then. i would really like a purple or deep blue in pearl though.would the inside have to be done?

Well personally if I was going for a respray I would get a non standard colour, make the money more worthwhile IMO. I would probably go for a pearl blue or my mate has a Golf Gti in pearl Mauve, looks amazing.

But to answer your question, it would certainly look good, but just how much better than a bog standard black, i'm not sure!

I'm not too sure, but i'm gonna take a stab at it since no one else has helped you out.

Pearl is short for pearlescent.... and that makes the paint look really deep and shiny and metallic. I think it is done with a coat of silver between the primer and a slightly transparent top coat. There is an article of this happening in Max-wouldnt-know-a-cam-shaft-from-a-calm-day-Power's WORX magazine.

Hope this helps you a little.

just phoned my local body shop who fitted my kit about having a full respray in standard black with metal flakes in it,he says it'll cost shit loads cos the amount of laquer and sanding needed. he recomended a pearl respray but im not to sure how much this will affect the look ok the paint.anyone got their car done in pearl or got any good pics of a pearl colour. cheers
