well its fucked now anyway! was checking the sparks and on the last one it wudnt start, put it back in and it still wont start. might be something tinternal or it might just be the battery - i cant be assed with it no more so its going to the garage :( ! think it needs a service and some TLC

Sounds like a bit of a misfire.

Right, ive checked the water and thats ok, but when i start it up the idle isnt constant, the scar seems louder, and the car shakes when i rev it - i take it thats one of the pistons blown?

what colour was the smoke?

basically was going down the road when the ride started gettin bumpy, the exhaust seemed to get louder and the exhaust was smoking. Went to the side of the road and waited about 5 mins, went to start it, it ticked over once and threw out loads of smoke (filled the whole street). yesterday i put some of the lube onto my induction kit supplied from the manufacturer because it was dry, i dont feel this has any relevance but wrote it anyway.

Basically:

1) Do u ppl think my engines knakered completely?

2)If not what do u think it is?

3)How much and what work is involved in putting the gsi engine in it?

Any help will be appreciated, Steve.
