How do the amps connect then? like the mono block for the subs to the other amp for 6x9's? would a phono connect them to each other? or does each amp need a pre out from the head unit?

pos from one sub, to pos on other then to pos on amp. Do same with neg and youve just succesfully wired 2 SVC4ohm subs down to a 2ohm load on a single channel.

most subs are rated at 4ohms
some are 2ohms

also some subs are dvc (dual voice coil) this means that you can wire up two subs to one mono block. im not entirely sure about all this ohms stuff myself.

thats all i can tell you for now. until i know more....

U'd be better off running both subs from one amp if it is 2ohm stable.

Is it possible to have 2 D-class amps running 2 12 inch subs and have another amp to run 6x9's? How would these all be connected? Would the D class amps connect to the other amp or be seperate somehow?

It'd be 2 Sony 12" 'Pentagon' subwoofers running off 2 Sony D-Class 'Pentagon' mono amplifiers. Not sure what the other amp and 6x9's would be yet.

I'm a complete beginner in the world of ice, just bought that Max Power/Haynes Ice guide to try and help me out...lol!

Cheers for your help
